In working with Human Services Professionals our goal is to offer a win-win solution. We want your employees to have access to care that may reduce suffering and open the way for them to enjoy life. We want your company to have access to information on common difficulties and effective treatments so that it can make informed decisions about increasing productivity and managing health care and sick time costs. The American Psychological Association has compiled some data on lost productivity associated with psychological difficulties, and the some of the benefits of effective treatment. There are also data on the effect psychological treatment may have on decreasing medical costs. While our focus is on working with each person individually to help them with their goals, we realize that organizations need information on whether such benefits are a sensible investment. We hope this information will be of use. If you have employees with children who are having difficulties, we also have a specialist in child psychology on staff. Finally, organizations often are looking for information on how to help their employees following a traumatic incident, whether it took place at work or at home.
